Needle, not gun. What happens in the 20 minutes, which jewellery we use and how to look after it.

We pierce with single-use hollow needles, never with a piercing gun. A needle makes a clean opening and lets us place the stud exactly where we marked, at the right angle. Every needle is opened in front of you and thrown away after.
At your appointment, the piercer will look at your ear or nose, talk through where the piercing will sit and mark it with a fine pen. You check the marks in the mirror and we adjust until you are happy. The piercing itself takes a few seconds. You will feel a sharp pinch, then warmth. The whole visit is about 20 minutes.
We use titanium studs, included in the price: ₹1,500 for a lobe or helix and ₹1,800 for a nostril. The starting stud has a little extra length to allow for swelling in the first weeks. We fit a shorter one at a free check after four to six weeks.
Aftercare is simple. Rinse with saline spray twice a day, do not twist or turn the stud and keep hair products, phones and pillowcases as clean as you can. Lobes usually settle in a couple of months; helix and nostril piercings can take longer, and it differs from person to person. Wait until then before you change to your own jewellery, and come in if anything looks wrong.
