The rent agreement, the NOC and the photos your application needs: a practical checklist for dedicated desk and cabin members.

Many small businesses join Kothari Commons partly so they can use a proper commercial address for their GST registration. We offer this to dedicated desk and team cabin members. Hot desk and day pass members cannot use the address, because they do not have a fixed space here.
When you ask for it, we prepare two documents. The first is a rent agreement between your business and ours, naming the desk or cabin you occupy, the monthly fee and the period. The second is a no-objection letter, or NOC, signed by us, confirming that you have permission to use the premises as your principal place of business. Both are printed on our letterhead and signed by Ritesh, usually within three working days.
The registration application usually also asks for a recent electricity bill for the premises, which we provide, and sometimes a photograph of the business’s name displayed at the desk or cabin. We give each registered member a small nameplate for this. If a tax officer visits to verify the address, the front desk will show them your space and call you.
The requirements are set by the tax department, change from time to time, and depend on your type of business. We provide the documents and the space, but we are not tax advisers, so please have your chartered accountant check your application before you file. When you leave, give us 30 days’ notice and update your registration to your new address; we will not withdraw the NOC until you have had time to do so.
