Your jewellery, a photo of your outfit and an honest list of what you dislike.

A trial is only useful if it looks like the day itself, so bring as much of the day as you can.
Wear or bring your bridal jewellery, or at least the necklace and earrings. Gold, kundan and polki each sit differently against the skin, and the lip colour often changes once we see them. Bring a photo of your outfit in daylight, or a fabric swatch. Red lehengas range from orange to wine, and the makeup should follow.
Come with clean skin and no makeup. Tell us about any skincare you use, especially acids or retinol, and any allergies. We patch-test every product we put on you.
Make two short lists: looks you love and things you never want. “No heavy contour” or “I hate my eyes looking small” is very helpful. Photos from your phone of your own favourite days help more than celebrity pictures.
At the end, we take photos in daylight and with flash, and we write down every product and shade we used. On the wedding day that sheet goes in your artist’s kit, so the look is repeated exactly. Plan for three hours, and do not book anything important right after.

Work backwards from the muhurtham, and leave thirty minutes nobody can take.
Pins first, then oil, then a gentle wash: the order our artists suggest for the end of the wedding night.
