Simple, steady habits beat a last-minute facial. A plan from our artists, not a medical one.

The skin we work on is the skin you bring, so the weeks before the wedding matter more than the morning itself. This is general advice from makeup artists; for any skin condition, see a dermatologist.
Eight weeks out, keep your routine simple and steady: a gentle cleanser, a moisturiser that suits you and sunscreen every day. Do not start new strong products now. Drink water through the day and try to sleep at a regular time, which is harder than it sounds in wedding season.
Four weeks out, have any facial or clean-up you want, and then stop. A facial in the final week can leave redness or small breakouts. Get your eyebrows shaped about five days before, so any redness settles.
In the final week, avoid waxing your face, trying new products or sitting in the sun at outdoor functions without sunscreen. Keep your lips moisturised with a plain balm; dry lips show every crack under a long-wear lipstick.
On the morning, wash your face with your usual cleanser and come without moisturiser. We prep the skin ourselves so that the base sits properly and lasts.
