Most faulty parts fail in their first day of hard use; we would rather that day happened on our bench.

Every PC we assemble and every laptop we sell runs for 24 hours on our bench before it goes home. It is the slowest step in our process, and the one we would never skip.
Electronics tend to fail early or very late. A RAM stick with a weak cell, a power supply with a poor capacitor or a graphics card with a bad fan usually shows itself in the first day of heavy use. If that happens in your home, you lose a week to returns. If it happens on our bench, we swap the part and start the test again.
The test runs the processor and graphics at full load, writes and reads the whole SSD, checks memory for errors and logs the temperatures every minute. A machine passes only if nothing errors and the temperatures stay steady.
You get the log printed with the machine. It is also a useful baseline: if your PC starts running hotter in a year, we can compare it with the day it left our bench and see whether it simply needs cleaning.
