Choosing a massage: a simple guide

Abhyanga, deep tissue or hot stone? It depends on what you want to feel afterwards.

Our menu has six treatments, and the most common question at the front desk is which one to choose. Start with how you want to feel when you leave.

If you want to relax and sleep well, choose abhyanga. The strokes are long and rhythmic, the oil is warm, and the pressure is moderate. It is the best choice for a first visit.

If you have stiff shoulders or a sore back from sitting, choose deep tissue. The therapist works slowly with firm pressure on specific knots. It can feel intense, and you may be a little sore the next day. Drink plenty of water.

If you feel cold, tired or simply want comfort, try hot stone. The heat lets the muscles release without strong pressure, which suits people who find deep tissue too much.

If you are short of time, the 45-minute foot ritual is surprisingly restoring. And if you cannot decide, the half-day package lets you try three.
