Shopping for a phone in Ameerpet: a practical guide

Metro, parking, the quieter hours and what to bring when you come to buy or repair a phone in Ameerpet.

Ameerpet is one of Hyderabad’s busiest areas, best known for its training institutes and its metro interchange, and it is also full of mobile shops. If you are coming to our counter on Ameerpet Main Road, a few tips will make the visit easier.

The easiest way to arrive is by metro. Ameerpet station is where the Red and Blue lines meet, so it is reachable directly from Miyapur, LB Nagar, Hitech City and Nagole. Our shop is about a seven-minute walk from the station exit on the main road side. If you come by car, parking on the main road is very limited; look for paid parking in the lanes behind, and expect to walk a few minutes. Two-wheelers are easier.

The quietest hours are between 11 am and 1 pm on weekdays. From 5 pm onwards, the area fills with students coming out of classes, and evenings and Sundays are our busiest times. If you need a screen repair or a data transfer that takes an hour, come in the morning, and you can walk to a nearby tiffin centre while you wait.

Bring your old phone fully charged, its charger, your GST details if you need a business invoice, the card for EMI if you plan to use it and your ID. If you are comparing prices across several shops in the area, ask each one for a written quote with the model, memory, colour and what is included, such as glass, cover and transfer. It makes the comparison fair.
