When to book the trial, when to do the final set, and what to tell your mehendi artist.

Wedding nails have to survive mehendi, haldi, the ceremony and a week of photographs, so the timing matters.
About a month before, book a trial. Try the shape and length you want, and live with it for a few days. Long extensions feel very different when you are draping a saree or holding a phone. A trial costs the same as a normal set.
The final set should be done two to three days before the first function. Any earlier and you will see regrowth in close-up photos; any later and there is no time to fix a broken nail. If your functions run for more than a week, we can schedule a free check-up halfway through.
Tell your mehendi artist that you have gel on. Mehendi will not stain gel, so the colour you chose is the colour in your photos, but the paste can dull a glossy top coat. A quick wipe with a damp cloth after the mehendi is scraped off brings the shine back.
For the colour, soft nudes, pale pink chrome and deep red all photograph well with gold jewellery. Bright neon and very dark greens look striking in person but can read as black in evening light.
