How we price hand-painted nail art
From ₹600 for a set: what makes one design ₹50 a nail and another ₹250, and how to plan within a budget.
Nail art is priced at the table before we start, and the price depends almost entirely on time. Hand-painted art is done with fine brushes, dotting tools and gel paints, and a technician can spend anything from two minutes to twenty on a single nail.
Our simplest designs, such as a dot pattern, a thin line or a single French tip in a colour, add about ₹60 a nail, so a full set of ten comes to around ₹600. This is the starting price shown on our list. Medium designs, such as small flowers, abstract swirls, two-colour French or a simple marble, are around ₹100 to ₹150 a nail. Detailed hand-painted work, like miniature portraits, mehendi-style patterns or tiny landscapes, can be ₹200 to ₹250 a nail.
Chrome, glitter and foil add materials as well as time. A glazed chrome finish on all ten nails is part of our ₹1,400 chrome manicure. Small studs or charms are ₹20 to ₹40 each, depending on the piece.
The easiest way to keep art affordable is to choose one or two accent nails, usually the ring finger, and keep the rest in a plain colour. A set with two detailed accent nails and eight solid ones often costs less than ₹500 extra on top of the gel manicure, and many people find it looks more elegant than art on every nail. Bring your idea, and your technician will give you two or three price options before she lifts a brush.
