Most of an installation is cable work, not cameras. What our technicians do on the day, hour by hour, and why it takes a full day.

Customers are often surprised that a four-camera installation takes our technicians a full day. Fixing a camera to a wall takes ten minutes. The rest of the day goes into the cables, which decide how long the system lasts and how easily it can be serviced.
The team, usually two technicians, arrives at 10 am with the drawing you approved at the survey. They lay dust sheets and mark every camera point and cable route in pencil, then show you the marks before drilling anything.
Cables run in PVC conduit outside and along walls, or in trunking indoors that is painted to match. Where possible, we follow existing lines, along ceiling corners and skirting, so the runs disappear. We never leave cables hanging loose or stapled to walls, where rain, rats and sunlight would destroy them. Every cable is labelled at both ends with a printed tag, such as “CAM 2 · GATE LEFT”, so any technician can trace it years later.
After the cameras are fixed, we connect the recorder in its locked cabinet, set camera angles with you watching on the screen and fine-tune night settings. Then we install the app on your phone and on family members’ phones, set your passwords and show you how to play back footage. Before leaving, we sweep and vacuum, remove all waste and give you a handover sheet with the cable list, disk size and warranty dates. Most jobs finish by 6 pm.
